Condolences
Allison Rittenhouse - May 2, 2008
Dear Prine Family,

My sincerest condolences on the loss of Roger.

I had the pleasure of working with him at Plow & Hearth several years ago. He never failed to bring a smile or laugh to everyone he came in contact with each day. The world will be a sadder place without Roger.
Janet Rivera - May 2, 2008
Dear Everyone,

Thank you so much for your thoughtful messages. We are all so sad to lose Roger - our kind, playful, and complicated brother. It means a lot to us to hear your memories about him, so please feel free to add some to this guest book. We find ourselves opening it several times a day at work or at home, just in case someone has added a message that allows us to feel his presence a little better. Thanks for sharing.

We grieve so for his five sisters and for the loss of our beloved nephew.
Janet Hurley - May 2, 2008
Dear Prine Family,
I am one of Alison's long-time friends, Janet, who bears the name of one of her sisters (there are Linda, Karen and now Barbara too). I have a brother who has struggled to hold onto life and know how devastating it would be should he ever loose that battle. I know how fiercely Alison loves, and know that her family shares such intense love for each other, as well as for the just causes that Roger was passionate about. Take heart that Roger knew that you all held him close and that he knew you will continue to do so. I am so sorry for your loss.
Chaia and Alan Heller-Goodman - May 2, 2008
Dear Prine Family

I know what a journey this has been for all of you. Actually, no, I cannot really imagine the heartbreak of losing someone so dear, under such painful circumstances. No one can. I only wish for you all the kind of strength and family love that all of you have sustained over the years. I wish you all, in between moments of agregious despair, moments of respite. Moments of remembering what is good in life--in Roger's life--and in the life of your own family.

Please know that Alan, Ruby and I are thinking of all of you (even though I've only met a few of you, I feel like I know you through the poetic and wondrous story-telling Alison) and that we wish you compassion, courage, and also sweetness at the life that you still hold as a family.

Oh my goodness! I am so sorry for your loss. I met Roger when he moved here with the Semer family in the mid 1970's. We spent many wonderful hours at FCP! He was a great guy, full of love and laughter. He will be missed by all who had the honor to have known him. My thoughts are with you!
