Dear Prine Family,
I had the good fortune of coming in contact with Roger while working in the Louisa County school system. He was a very outgoing fellow with a great sense of humor. The world is a sadder place without him.

With deepest sympathy,
David William Burke

My heart goes out to you at this time and in the days ahead. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Dear Prine Family:
I remember Roger as the beautiful blonde-haired silly boy at family gatherings with Gramma. I was lucky to have the chance to re-meet him at one of the Prine's annual gatherings in Vermont. My first thought when I met him as a man was how much he reminded me of my own siblings....such strong family genes!
My heart aches for your loss and for your love of your brother. Know that you each are loved by many family members spread all across the country.
Much love from your cousins.
William Brown - May 2, 2008
Dear Prine Family,

I am so sorry for your irreplacable loss. I worked with Roger in theater - as a fellow actor and under his direction. He was one of the kindest men I have ever met, and his passion for theater was so honest and true and selfless. He really touched and improved my life - a testament to a life well lived. His loss is tragic, but I wish him peace. My immediate family had a similar loss a few years ago, and my deepest thoughts and prayers are with you all as you work to make sense of this. I will celebrate and treasure the memories I have of Roger.

I will always remember Roger as a caring and generous guy. Thanks for your encouragement, Roger. I will miss you.
Cindy Semer - May 2, 2008
A dream, first love, streaking, part of our family, my little brother's big brother, crazy concerts, lovely plays, basketball, books, lots of friends, reuniting, lost love, peace -almost. It's hard to put into words 35 years of love and friendship. I thought he would always be there. Roger, you were a bright light for me and so many others.
Noelle Erskine - May 2, 2008
I have never met Roger, but, I have heard lots of great stories about him. I was terribly sorry to hear about the loss of Roger. I am really sorry.
Jeanne Chase - May 2, 2008
Dear Prine Family,
I worked with Roger when he taught seventh grade social studies in Louisa County. He was a gentle, kind, creative person who took special interest in his students and who took pride in their achievements. Please know that we are richer by having known him.

I will miss Roger so much. All those fun times playing with him at family vacation. I liked how Roger would take time to explain things and discuss or debate them with me or other people. Roger was a very kind person. I will always miss you Roger.
Debra D'Alessandro - May 2, 2008
considered Roger in the category of 'cool older brother' when Alison and I grew up together in Mt. Lebanon; his beautiful blond hair, beard and quick laugh stand out in my memory. Know that I am sending Alison, her sisters and Mr. and Mrs. Prine much love as you grieve this loss. My heart goes out to you.
