Autumn
I will never forget the time my brother, my aunt, myself, and Roger were all wandering the submarine in Pittsburgh and the Science Museum. As were were looking in it, Roger started pushing buttons and pretending we were actually in the submarine...therefore we all joined in the game. Before we knew it, someone had hit the button that locked the door to get out. After a brief moment of panic, someone figured how to unlock it and we made it out. I will miss how Roger could turn an ordinary activity into an extraordinary experience.

I remember the time, when Roger was about 9, that he swung on the branch of the maple tree in the front yard (which was something Dad had told him NOT to do) and split the branch, so that it almost came off the tree. He came running to me to fix it. I was probably 15 or so, and had no idea what to do, but I knew we had to do something to keep him out of trouble. So, I took a jump rope and tied the split branch back up to where it was supposed to be and hoped that my Dad would not notice it. Months went by, and I kept watch for signs that the branch would die and we would be exposed. But, it didn't die! It actually healed back to the place where it had been split! So, we took the jump rope off, and no one ever knew the difference.
